Join us to champion a movement where all Australians walk together for a better future
The Don Dunstan Foundation, in collaboration with Reconciliation SA and Yes23SA, is pleased to invite you to a special workshop presented by Nicole Laupepa and Jacqui Parker aimed facilitating knowledge, understanding and a sense of purpose for non-Indigenous Australia to work together with First Nations peoples. Nicole and Jacqui from the Walking Together Project have designed and delivered this workshop to groups across Australia, and we hope you are able to take this opportunity to join us to champion a movement where we walk together to create a better future for us all. About the workshop Walking Together is a collaborative and practical project created through the shared passion and skills of Nicole Laupepa, a First Nations woman and senior leader with Youth Off The Streets, and Jacqui Parker, an experienced educator and practitioner. With the Uluru Statement from the Heart as a framework, the workshop seeks to develop opportunities and a skill-set for non-Indigenous Australia to pave the way for us to accept the invitation and confidently walk together. The workshop will also provide relevant information leading up to the Referendum and about the action we can all take in the journey of reconciliation. After the workshop, participants will be invited to undertake the ‘Train the Trainer’ program. |
